Centred around a natural firepit and access to an army mess tent, there is plenty of space to enjoy your surroundings. Whether you’re hiking the moors, wild swimming, taking a horse ride down winding lanes or cycling past the picturesque villages, Dartmoor has something for everyone.

The Site

Facilities

Converted railway carriage with solar-powered hot showers, phone charging point, toilets, wifi and a washing area.

Large, communal ex-army tent for dining and chilling out. Firewood, firepits and more available. 

The Pitches

Easy pitching in a large 6-acre level field or within the adjoining copse of mature trees. Unmarked pitches and plenty of space to be able to camp next to friends and family. No close neighbours and a safe firepit enclosed with granite boulders.

The Surrounding Area

A short walk from the site you can experience Blackingstone rock, the stunning reservoirs for fly fishing and some truly spectacular hikes. Experience horse rides over the moors, find wild swimming spots and enjoy the picturesque town of Moretonhampstead.
